The game is going to be launching on Epic Games Store, so Steam holdouts (people are still doing that, right?) will probably have to wait an extra year. That’s 2/22/22 for anyone in the back of the class. Sifu is releasing on February 22 of 2022.
Just a little more, and fans will finally be able to experience a martial arts game unlike any before. A third person action game featuring intense hand-to-hand combat, it puts you in. Sifu’s release date is right around the corner.

Six months will probably be past by the time I’m finished typing this sentence. Sifu is the new game from Sloclap, the independent studio behind Absolver. Sifu was released on 8 February 2022 for Windows via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, with players who purchase the Deluxe Edition having access the game 48 hours earlier, and receive a digital art book and the original soundtrack composed by Howie Lee. Yeah, I know that’s not exactly a short enough time, but it was January and then I blinked and now it’s almost September. When Sifu was announced, I had my eyes all over it, and I’m pleased that it now has a release date that’s just six months away. There’s no word on when (or if) Sifu will arrive on other platforms though there is an exclusivity deal in place that expires in a year’s time, meaning we could see it chop and kick its way onto Xbox and maybe even Nintendo Switch.We all love revenge stories and games where martial arts are used to beat the crap out of dudes. Their debut game, Absolver, was similarly ambitious in its attempts to create a stylish hit with martial arts combat at its core. Sifu is the second title from French game developer, Sloclap. Sifu is a game that had exceptional potential, but squandered it on the wrong lessons. Following a delay announced at Sony’s State of Play presentation this past July, kung-fu fighting game Sifu now has a 2022 release date. I find myself irrationally angry with Sifu.
It’s a game that confuses the precise mechanical difficulty of Sekiro with a forced difficulty brought on by simply giving bosses armour. I had high hopes for it being one of my game of the year contenders, but it left me feeling intensely deflated instead. The game is currently sitting on an impressive 79 OpenCritic average score, many reviewers highlighting its hand-drawn art style, nuanced combat, and inventive gameplay systems. A Sifu easy mode update has been one of the most requested features for the game post-launch, and the good news is that it has now arrived with the Spring 2022 update.
The game is already available for pre-order. Sifu is coming to PC (more precisely: to Epic Games Store) as well as PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Now the devs specified that we will have to wait for the release until February 22, 2022. Sifu is out now on PS4, PS5, and PC, and has been receiving praise from critics. Since July, we know that Sloclap's game would not be released this year.
